Hello, I am Lucia
Project manager. Parent. An expat living in Rome, Italy.
A few years ago, I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary assignment gradually became a new chapter of life abroad.
How It Began
Moving to Italy wasn’t in the long-range plan. Like many expat relocations, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far more significant.
The initial months were demanding — unfamiliar processes, routines, and expectations. Daily chores seemed tougher than they ought to be.
The Adjustment Period
The Adjustment Phase — there was culture shock, uncertainty, and plenty of on-the-job learning. Yet gradually, routines took shape. We found places that fit us, connected with other families, and began creating something that felt secure.
Why I Built Panel River Bridge
Most online guidance was either corporate relocation tips or shallow tourist content. What was lacking was a candid, everyday family viewpoint.
This site aims to bridge that gap — practical advice grounded in real life in Italy.
What This Site Is (And Isn't)
This site IS:
- Hands-on insights from living in Italy
- Centered on family life and daily realities
- Updated whenever something truly changes
This site ISN'T:
- Not a tourism authority resource
- Not a sponsored review platform
- Not a generic travel blog
Looking Ahead
Our stay in Italy continues, and the learning journey goes on. As long as the information remains useful, I’ll keep recording what we discover.
If you have questions about family life in Rome or anywhere in Italy, don't hesitate to get in touch.
Best regards,
Lucia
